Joyce is an instructor within the Accian Military Training Program. She teaches very complex and difficult topics, possessing considerable knowledge and understanding of magic. She can be rather timid at times and listening to her explanations can become tedious. She is very enthusiastic as a teacher despite this. Joyce's magic allows her to project memories and surface thoughts as optical and auditory illusions, whether these are hers or those of a willing participant via touch. She can also temporarily generate hope, aspiration or interest in those around her. She will often utilize her magic to teach complex magical concepts and calling forward students with applicable memories to give an example. Rylmar's Aura in particular is helpful in keeping students engaged and interested in often dry topics.
