These are mysterious and insightful ravens native to northern Alkelbulan. Thanks to Sylthari's blessing, they can peek into the futures of those around them to read their fate, either sharing these as illusions or keeping their prophecies to themselves. For this reason they are seen as symbols of prophecy and cosmic knowledge or even as messengers of the divine. Itri ravens use this unique ability for hunting, for assessing threats, for predicting dangerous storms and, occasionally, for messing with humans. Strikingly intelligent, these corvids have been known to lead lost and weary humans to oases in exchange for trinkets or food. But one should still be wary, they will know if you intend to deceive them! Itri ravens are also popular as a familiar for seers and mystics, the Quiris associating them with Lithmor.

Length
Similar to a common raven but a touch smaller. Its wings tend to be a bit more pointed and unlike its Eluzian cousin, its thraot and head are distinctly brownish black in their normal form. The rest of its feathers are glossy black with purplish and bluish tints. Its feet, legs and bill are all black. In it's magic form, the brown feathers turn sheer white which continues down its back and sometimes along its wings. Tiny stars seem to dot the feathers which remain black, illusions of stars and constellations occasionally drifting out from its body.
Habitat
Itri ravens can be found across northern Alkelbulan including both the Shamsi and Arabiyyan Deserts. They may live as far south as Gaarreen Ho'aa and as far north as the Frozen Wastes. It prefers desert environments but still might be found in Arya and Balkurtiz. They otherwise nest in palm groves and oases.
Reproduction
They nest in trees, on cliffs of wadis or in uninhabited buildings or ruins and it is common for them to pair up. They usually have 4-5 eggs, incubated over 20-22 days. Chicks can usually fly by their 38-45th day.
Diet
These are omnivores birds, mainly feeding on carrion, snakes, grasshoppers, fish (along coasts), grain, dates and other fruit. They can be fearless when stealing food from humans but may grow wary or shy if they receive too much attention. They may cooperate with other ravens when hunting lizards, one blocking their escape while the other hunts.
Behavior
Much like their Eluzian cousins, itri raven are fairly vocal, making croaks or harsh calls like "karr-karr-karr", their voice a higher pitch than the common raven. It is also capable of vocal mimicry. Some view this sound as an omen of an impending disaster, especially sand storms or swarms of locust. Some Imaziɣen or Nilot towns take to keeping an itri raven as a familiar or give it offerings in hopes they might warn them of such disasters.
