Everdark Mines

History

Founded by House Ironhelm in 1078, Everdark Mines is located on the edge of the Xantos Plains And the Frozen Waste.

Originally started as a set of inns and taverns for travellers seeking shelter between the dwarf holds of Hammerfall Mines and Bitterdark Mines in the east and Silverbrook in the west. Overtime it was discovered that the powerful wind that swept down from the north was able to blow forge bellows hotter than any other in Belkar (save maybe the wind in Lionstail )

This allows the working of a wider array of unique and precious materials, and attracts the most skilled smiths and jewellers in the world.

Population

Today this small city is home to just under 10,000 people. 50% are dwarven, 35% are human and 15% are everything else.

Economy

A large hospitality industry still thrives in Everdark Mines as it is a long days (or two short days) march from other settlements. In addition to hospitality Everdark supports a thriving advanced smithing and jewelry industry and everything that goes with it; alluring exotic materials sellers from across Baller and beyond.
