The Battle of Snowsong

The Conflict

Prelude

After the Clash at Winterhearth, Amalie Tyriene seeks refuge with her father in the town of Snowsong. A local priest tends to Amalie's wounds from the prior battle. Orcus first tracks her Gate Watch's Protection Signet to a nearby forest and then scrys upon her and her pursuers to deduce her location.
Upon arriving in the town, Orcus and his allies immediately kill the local guards and threaten further violence unless the townsfolk gather at the town square and submit Amalie to them. Orcus begins incinerating the locals periodically to coax Amalie out of hiding. Eventually, Orcus threatens the son of the local priest, who reveals Amalie's location.
Meanwhile, the Loyal Foils team up with a group of local knights, led by Arandal Royal Guard member, Ser Gwendolyn Llayne, Darcio Castor the assistant headmaster of Esoterium of Magic joins them as well. They call on the Demon Hunters of Deephaven to meet them at Snowsong to aid in confronting Orcus.

The Engagement

By the time the Loyal Foils's and their Arandali allies arrive, Amalie's soul has already been harvested by Orcus. The groups engage in battle nonetheless, with Ibis Praece assuming the form of a blue dragon and carrying Corfinas Drannor to Orcus.
The tides of battle turn rapidly after Orcus summons a swarm of meteors on the town, incinerating Sir Shelton Marling and grievously wounding Sir Duncan Allaster. Orcus incapacitates and subsequently disintegrates Ibis Praece, causing the remaining Loyal Foils to attempt a retreat via teleportation. Darcio Castor manages to distract Orcus by attempting to magically hold the Demon Lord in place, buying the Foils time to escape at the cost of his life.  
Kaspian Armathor attempts to position himself to counter the Loyal Foils magical retreat, but is knocked unconscious by the arrival of Griswald Raventree who joins in the teleportation away from the battle.
