Molierre Traders

If you've bought a finished good, it was probably made with items acquired in Molierre. If you've bought a finished item, it probably passed through Molierre. If you've held a gold piece in your hands, it probably was held by a Molierran trader. Most traders around the kingdom have to deal with The Molierre Traders one way or another, paying dues, or getting stocks from them. The first Ylistrium mine was found within the lands of Molise. Opus Stefari, owner and leader of the Traders thought it would make him rich, but the ore has only caused more trouble since. They established the city of Montiga in the eastern edges of the region, and now it stands as a fully independent city with its own members of the council. However, since the invasion of Kernaros, the organization risks extinction and Opus Stefari is presumably spirited away into the North.

Structure

The richest merchant families of the three cities of Molierre, elect one of their own to serve in a council. Though they are all competitors one way or another, at the same time they know they must work together to set prices, acquire goods from other duchies, and protect their interests. At times there has been an elected leader, specially when war has loomed in the distance.
