The life of a Goliath

A strong warrior race, Goliaths are large beings of great strength and traditions. Created by Aegis they are made to fight battles and wars. They were brought to this world to help take it from the darker races, and there kind has remained since. They settle in mountains ranges and other difficult terrain’s, but as a measure of defense, and to keep there ways and traditions from average prying eyes.

What is known is they train for battle literally Religiously, they abide by a strict code of honor, and rarely have a grasp of metaphor or sarcasm. Goliaths are not an all together uncommon sight. Individual or groups of them are often sent out on missions, or tasks. And as a right of passage very Goliath leaves the settlement immediately prior to adulthood, and seeks a way to prove their honor.

Goliath's do not know what what way they will prove their honor, but the know when they have, and return to there settlement with the tale of their proven Honor. Once this is done, they can rejoin the tribe. Some Goliath's do not wish to return, having found some other way to better serve Aegis, but as Goliath's age, they will return to their settlement. Unlike Orcs, elder Goliath's do not seek death, but rather new ways to contribute to their kin. Often work around the settlement, and when that becomes difficult, teaching the younger generation. Eventually they are retired to simple telling stories of times past.

In death they are honored greatly by there tribe, the wails of which can often be heard for miles and miles, though they believe that in Death their soul will rise to join Aegis in his endless war in Acheron, to battle Goblinoids and Orcs for the rest of Eternity or until their defeat.
