Mardi Hotbread Ralner

A desert Gnome who is the current defacto leader of the city of Thermis, and by extension considered the central figure of the Dinescape alliance. From the current most wealthy Desert tribe, Mardi is a no bullshit, to the point gnome, her playful whimsy Gnomish past is far behind her. She is elderly even for a gnome, at about 460 years old. Her parents were part of the rebellion that freed the Dinescape desert from the Warlords of Debraso. She fought against the third Maslands Invasion, the first where the desert was not ruled over by the warlords, and earned great honor on the battle field. She earned attendance at the Martial academy of Aegis, and learned great battle prowess. She also studied magic for a time among the mages of Sands End. It is said she single handedly killed the last wild dragon who tried to take residence in the desert.
