A time came when some Mountain Dwarves saw Strection became corrupted. The lessons that Lunarius's Seal taught came into fruition for these dwarves, making them flee Ironhammer. Justice Paladins that rebelled against Strection followed the fleeing civilians, hoping for a new life. Once they arrived at Frosthalla, they built this new life.
After hearing their pleas, the Berserkers on patrol granted an audience with Winter. Winter saw wisdom in their pleas and granted them powers of snow magic. That day, Winter created the Frost Dwarves, making them an important part of Astnyr.

The First Snow Paladins

No one knew who first became a Snow Paladin. The Justice Paladins who escorted civilians out of Ironhammer were the first to be granted the power. They could gain new powers and insights with their transformations into Frost Dwarves. However, the first Frost Dwarven commander that took charge of the Snow Paladins was Dublin Goldhammer.

Physical Traits

Frost Dwarves have the same traits as Mountain Dwarves, but ice clings to their skin like Frost Giants. Their hair, eyes, and skin colors have changed as well. The skin is forever white or variations of ice blues. The eye colors can be blue, white, and lavender. Their bushy and braided hair can be ice blue, pink, and white. Female Frost Dwarves have even revolutionized themselves to grow full facial beards to combat the eternal cold of the snowy mountains.

Naming Traditions

Most Frost Dwarves have kept their Mountain Dwarf naming heritage. However, there are some that decided there was a time for a change. These Dwarves have adopted the Frost Giant naming traditions, such as Halo or Balo.
