Winter founded the Snow Guard after building Frosthalla. Berserkers rose to the challenge of protecting the snowy home they held dear. Soon after Strection went mad with rage, the Snow Paladins joined the formation's ranks. The new unified force protected travelers heading to Frosthalla. their abilities.
History

When the construction of Frosthalla was complete, the Frost Giants volunteered to protect their city and God, and Winter gave them some of their own power to form the Snow Guard. They tasked the Berserkers with protecting the city, strategizing battles, and escorting travelers up the snowy mountains.
When Lunarius became the God of Madness, many Beserkers joined the front line while some remained within Frosthalla to guard the Scholars researching there. The Battle Mages and Justice Paladins joined them in the city to help guard them along with their own cities, Hystoria and Ironhammer. Once the Scholars found a way to seal Lunarius, Mages of Madness fully invaded the cities of the realm. Frosthalla was one city that was hit the most heavily, with the most casualties of both Beserkers and cultists. Once the war was over, there were so few Beserkers left, but their numbers slowly grew back in the centuries after.
This was until Strection declared war against his sibling, Winter. Their numbers would slowly crumble again with the Justice Paladins attacking them non-discriminately. When the Snow Paladins formed under the Snow Guard, battles were returning to Frosthalla's favor. However, there were more battles to come between Ironhammer and Frosthalla, threatening the peace the realm had for centuries.
Guardsworn

The Guardsworn was the battle commander of the Snow Guard. They were the wisest of all the guard with battle strategy and civil delegations. Winter appointed Guardsworn with this in mind. Guardsworn became the God's lieutenant with second opinions on various matters. The current Guardsworn agreed with Winter about Sonance's vision. Lunarius's Chosen would help Astnyr once they learned the truth.
Berserkers

The Berserkers had the military power of 5,000. This was less than when the guard first founded, but the Snow Paladins assisted with backup. Berserkers used winter magic in battle, killing enemies with extreme proficiency with their greataxes.
They trained the berserkers in strength, magic, and strategy. Their strength training included melee power and proficiency. This could include strength in training dummies or each other. However, only training dummies of different races faced the melee power of their axes in training. Training with each other used unarmed combat, where the risk of ending the other's life was less likely, but still possible. They brought back those who died during the unarmed training to their loved ones and still honor the decisions of the deceased.
Magic training included winter magic that Winter gifted each Berserker. Once trainees received this gift, they turned to tomes and mentors for guidance. Some visited Hystoria to gain this knowledge from other magical mentors, while most stayed in Frosthalla. Though these days, all had to stay in Frosthalla to not engage with Ironhammer. Winter magic was used to enhance Berserker axes so that their strikes became more potent and deadly.
Strategic training comprised learning and memorizing bodily weaknesses of each race. This included training for teamwork during the throes of combat. Berserkers needed to know these strategic methods to have an advantage in every battle they can, especially when something threatened Astnyr society.
Snow Paladins

The Snow Paladins had the personnel of 6,000 paladins. It was more than Berserker forces, but the paladins helped all they could to increase their numbers. Snow Paladins used winter magic to protect allies and slow enemies.
Snow Paladins retrained themselves and became assets of wisdom and protection. They could think more than Strection ever could, with no rash actions. Strategic methods should fuel their actions.
There were three training regimes that Snow Paladins had to endure. These training methods were weapons training, strategic knowledge, and winter magic.
With weapons training, they needed to learn how to use and fight with one-handed maces and shields effectively. It differs greatly from their old two-handed swords, as there was less weight to think about with the alternative.
Trainees learned strategic methods from the Berserkers within the Snow Guard. These Berserkers befriended the new Frost Dwarves, helping them understand their new way of life.
The God themself taught winter magic, with trainees learning how to use the shield from their armor, as well as the magic from their mace.
