Louis Chabert
The firstborn son of Duchess Luciana Chabert. He was visiting the trading colony of Anthep in 897 when he was kidnapped by Maris Sissava and some of her yuan-ti agents on New Year’s Day, but adventurers from Team Jellicle managed to rescue and return him to Havre. He seemed changed after the kidnapping, criticizing the Desperan occupation of Anthep and praising banned deities like Dendar.
He spent several years studying speechcraft at Mulane College in the 900's, hoping to become a influential member of King Philippe De Mer's royal court in Havre. Plagued by rumors of yuan-ti brainwashing, Louis found his influence at court frustratingly limited until King Philippe's passing in 922. With his mother acting as regent for the young queen Ysabel De Mer, Louis was appointed as one of the highest-ranking diplomats in Despero, helping to maintain cordial relationships with the Northern Territories and Sardivelia to counter any signs of Rakkan hostility.
