Head of the Vivaldi noble family in Sardivelia. When the family fell on hard times after the Fairouz Terror of the 870's and Paoli's Red Monday massacre in 881, he worked to keep the Vivaldis in Paoli's good graces. Along with the usual taxes and signs of loyalty, this new arrangement forced the Vivaldis to surrender many of their most valuable magic relics and tomes for Paoli's research. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't control every rogue member of the family. Schemers like Antony and Ilariano drew Paoli's ire for their illegal magical operations, leading to their swift executions after being captured by adventuring groups. As punishment for these oversights Lazzaro found himself cursed with feeblemindedness one day, unable to even speak to his friends and family. No longer capable of leading the family, the Vivaldis descended into a bitter vendetta in the fall of 918 as Lazzaro and Antony's children fought for dominance. Like with any Sardivelian feud, it quickly turned deadly.
