Tëgryn

Descendants of one of the group of elves who followed Brògan out of the Feywild, the Tëgryn count themselves among the very first elves to arrive on the Material Plane. During the following centuries, they stubbornly refused to worship him. Rather than stay in the open and face extinction, they fled into the mountains to elude Brògan's followers. There, they found Tëseach Cysgodal grievously wounded and offered him their protection. Under the leadership of Tëgryn of the Vale, they followed him into battle against Brògan and his followers.

In return, it is said, for their loyalty and bravery, Tëseach Cysgodal granted the Tëgryn stewardship over his beloved vales and the Dùlargyd trees that grow within. They have taken to this duty with honor ever since. Each of them feels an immense shame and loss at their recent defeat at the hands of Maeven Brynn and her subsequent occupation of the Vales.

Common Taboos

The cutting down of a Dùlargyd is met with harsh punishment. Depending on specific location, this can be anything from the breaking of every bone in one's hands to death.
Cròmlaw -- crook-hand -- is a deadly insult. Any Tëgryn disrespected in such a manner would consider it her right to seek redress on the field of battle.
