The Tàith
Tëgryn youths who wish to pass from childhood to adulthood perform the Tàith: a ritual journey that tests them both physically and mentally. The nature of this journey is up to the individual. For most, it involves a relatively mundane period of time spent living in the wilds or a journey to a far off land. Those who truly wish to distinguish themselves, however, choose far more ambitious targets: hunting a Gathwyd, crossing the Mynith Tàrnan, or in extreme cases facing a trial set by of one of the Neithryn. Those that survive earn a special level of respect among their people.
