The Kraken's Tentacle
Geography
Moderately sized mountains, only a few of which are snow capped. The northern side of the tentacle is bound by a desert and the southern side faces the ocean and some marshlands.
Fauna & Flora
Owlbears are common in the upper reaches of the mountains, where they make their home.
The desert is home to the special cacti that have hallucinogenic juices. The locals know to avoid it, but some travelers, working off faulty rumors, will try to take advantage of a free water source.
