Void Fiend

A vilmus fiend brandishing a crude weapon.

Introduction:

Void fiends are one of two types of creatures classified as fiends (along with Drift Demons) that can be encountered by the inhabitants of the Founder Galaxy. They are creatures manifested from the aspects of morality of chaos and evil, and should be avoided at all costs. While most void fiends reside in the galaxy of Arbull, it is not uncommon to see them in the Founder Galaxy.

Origin:

While most void fiends spawn from chaos and evil itself, the most powerful void fiends are the mutated descendants of the extinct halborg species. While this part of ancient history is not well documented, it is known that some surviving halborg trapped in the outer planes managed to escape back to The Universe after being transformed by the energy of the outer planes. It is assumed that their descendants became more and more corrupted over the past million years, leading to the void fiends known today.

Abilities:

Society:

While void fiends are chaotic and evil, they show remarkable cooperation and care amongst themselves. While the lowest ranking void fiends may not show it clearly, any void fiend with enough intelligence attempts to conform to void fiend society and not harm others of its kind.   Void fiend society is based on rank, with 10 ranks existing. Each of these ranks appears different from each other and are considered different species. While not explicitly confirmed, it is believed that the power of a rank is determined by how similar it looks to the original halborg, with more similar species considered more powerful. While the lowest ranked void fiends looking nothing like the halborg, more powerful ones share some characteristics like hooves and curved horns.   The void fiends are led by one individual known as "The Great One." This void fiend has never been encountered, so their appearance and personality are unknown.
