Cataclysmic War

Introduction:

The cataclysmic car was the approximately three hundred year long conflict which led to the formation of the Illithid-Dilug Intergalactic Empire of New Rocheron over a million years ago. It was the largest conflict known in the Supreme Solaris system at the time and led to the destruction of the planet Rocheron, the first planet with intelligent life. The war was also the inciting incident that led to the hostile relationship between the Empire and the Old Gods.

Start:

The cataclysmic war was a result of tensions building up between the nations of Rocheron and the interplanetary colonies for over a century. These colonies were once a part of the United Nations of Rocheron, but they rebelled and eventually won their independence one by one. Four of these colonies wanted to join together in one nation. However, most of the nations of Rocheron opposed this as the new proposed nation would have control over several planets. The United Navy of Rocheron launched a missile strike at a military base on the lunar colony, which led to retaliation. The war had begun.

Participants:

-United Republic of Rocheron (Illithid, Dilug), and halborg   -North Helamor (halborg)   -South Helamor (halborg)   -The Archipelago (illithid)   -Elvias (dilug)   -The Lunar Colony (illithid, dilug, and halborg)   -The Solesta Colony (halborg)   -The Frigid Colony (illithid)   -The Colony of Kiabas (dilug)   Casualties: ~6-8 billion dead

Early Conflict:

Every colony initially allied against Rocheron, forming a two sided conflict. Attacks were carried out through missile launches and ship interception and boarding. While these methods were effective, no significant progress was made by either side. New innovations had to be made in order for somebody to win.   The colonies initially targeted the halborg nations on Rocheron as they were the weakest.
