Tiamat

The Scaled Leviathan

The five-headed progenitor of chromatic dragons and now of everything hellish, Tiamat embodies everything evil, but remarkably, she embodies having the ability to commit atrocities but simply lacking the want to follow through: sloth. Since the murder of her good counterpart Bahamut, she has dwelled in the Nine Hells. She is imprisoned there to punish her for the evils she perpetrated, however, some say that at this point she stays in the hells by choice.

History

Tiamat, the Scaled Leviathan. Tiamat, the Betrayer. Tiamat, the Nemesis of Gods. Tiamat, the Dragon and Demon Queen. Tiamat is a unique entity within the Realms of Eastrix and she has played a role that has impacted the realms heavily evidently. However, this impact purely has been done with the purpose of gaining as much power as possible. Most importantly, Tiamat played a major role in the death of Bahamut. During the times of the Draconic Wars and Draconic Scourge, an era in which most dragonkin was exterminated almost making dragons go extinct, Tiamat was bested by, but also defeated, Bahamut the Platinum Behemoth. Tiamat saw Bahamut as unjustly getting praised for his antics, they were both protectors of the realms however, Tiamat saw the task of protector differently from Bahamut. Tiamat being arrogant, greedy, hateful, spiteful and vain, never forgave any kind of slight and was focused on obtaining more power. If she was the most powerful, no one would dare to attack the realms, because surely they would understand it was futile. Bahamut on the other side would do such things as helping the people of the Material Realms and making sure that the djinn treated their inhabitants in the elemental realms fairly. This in excess is what lead to Tiamat deciding that the only contestant to her power was Bahamut and that therefore she needed to kill him. The Murder of Bahamut leads to the creation of Agartha and the creation of the jewel dragons. It is said that the tears of all dragon kind combined with Bahamut's body and created a clear and fragile metal offspring of dragons, that they would become the jewel dragons. Nowadays Tiamat finds herself without goals and without the motivation to fight anyone or anything, since in her eyes, after Bahamut's death, no one really can challenge her anymore.

Depiction

Tiamat has two forms, a dragon form and a humanoid form. This ability to transform into a humanoid is only something the strongest of dragons can do. Tiamat however most often uses her dragon form. The dragon form has the body of a titanic dragon with five heads, each the shape and hue of a different chromatic dragon. Each head might speak separately and have different mannerisms, but they are all Tiamat. The skin of each merged into three stripes -- blue-green, grey and purple before they merged again into brown skin that covered her tail. This giant form stands almost 30 meters tall and 17 meters wide, each head being the size of a small cottage. This form also acts as the 'true' form of Tiamat. Tiamat's human form is a combination of a red Abishai and a cambion. Carrying the aspects of a human in general shapes by the size of a Red Abishai, Tiatmat's human form is an opposing figure that demands respect. Often she is spotted wearing black armour with long wild hair. Aspects of her many heads do still come through her human form, she still has sharp teeth and her fingernails all take the colours of her different heads.

Divine Domains

The queen of dragons whilst being associated with classical traits of her, such as greed, envy, and hoarded wealth, does in fact have a completely different main divine domain. Tiamat more than anything is a betrayer, and being a betrayal requires lies, deceit and a cold heart. Anyone who wishes to use the many typical traits of trickery to stab someone in the back can call upon Tiamat and she will bless your action. Tiamat accepts the worship of any who crave power, but especially those who are willing to take set power by putting a dagger in the back of someone else. All chromatic dragons have a fearful reverence for their tyrannical queen, but many dragons of near-deific power and ambition chafe under her rule.
