Airlock
Airlocks are located between various sections of the Ark, to separate different atmospheric environments and also as protection in case of accidental decompression.
Design
An airlock is large enough for several people – a small room or a short corridor – with a large door at either end. The floor is covered with white tiles. The walls are made of smooth off-white plastic. The doors are very strong and the one on the biosphere or transport tube end is locked. A passkey will open it (Service Area access, usually).
