Techism

The belief system that divides Savants, Mechs, and True Humans. Born when the first mechanically-modified human inflicted violence on a non-modified human, the divide in techism only grew wider as Greysoft Laboratories created Savant Genetics as a way to compete with modded individuals.   Savants believe they are the "natural" creation and that mechs are mutilating their bodies with unreliable Cybernetic Modifications. Additionally, mods are not only detrimental to the physical body, but the ethereal senses (like sight, hearing, and the mind) and cause a person to become less and less human over time/more detached with reality.   Mechs believe savants were created to wipe them out and subvert the government. The Triumvirate reinforces this believe by putting savants as second-class citizens and making their lives harder. Since savants don't consume the same way mechs do, with regard to the technology created by the CORPs, the government has been trying to find ways to make savants more "meched".   The True Humans are neither born with savant genetics or choose mods. While they choose to live free from body technology and stay impartial on that debate, they do utilize much of the other CORP-created tech. This causes them to exist in a space between savants and mechs. Neither of the other groups particularly cares for Trues, but they don't outright reject them like they do each other, either.
