Sect of the Serpent

A powerful organization seeking to control all of Drakunne, the Sect of the Serpent consists of several smaller organizations led by a single dragon: Reginald. These sub-groups serve to tighten the network in smaller key areas, but also as protection: if one of them falls, the perpetrators are likely to think that that was all of the Sect, and leave the rest untouched.   Additionally, keeping the sub-groups separate helps keep each in the dark. Every sub-group, and every leader beside Reginald himself, only has a limited pool of knowledge. They all believe the Sect is following their plans, their desires, their motivations, even when these may not match, or even go against each other. And, if none of them are connected, the odds of them banding together and overthrowing Reginald is much, much smaller.

Structure

The top-leader of the Sect is Reginald, the president of the organization. Directly underneath him is his right-hand man, the Sect Leader, the secondary leader of the Sect itself, who takes care of the minutiae and other such 'lesser' tasks that come hand-in-hand with such a large organization.   Besides these two leaders, the Sect itself counts very few members, and none in leadership positions. Most instead fall under the various sub-groups, which each have their own leader. These leaders have (almost) full control over their own group, and are free to do whatever they want with them, tell them as much or as little of the overall organization as they want. There are only two things they must do: grow their numbers, and spread some sort of religious beliefs based on Auhir.

Public Agenda

The Sect's actual agenda is little known, and intentionally hidden. Not even the Sect Leader knows what, exactly, Reginald's plan is. Every individual sub-group leader believes the group's agenda is their agenda, that Reginald wants to make their goals happen, and this is exactly what he presents to them. Because they are a hidden society, there is no greater public knowledge of them, and thus no agenda.
