President Reginald
Founder and top-leader of the Sect of the Serpent, Reginald is one of the most powerful people in all of Drakunne... and few know of him. He's clever, charismatic, excellent at reading people... and manipulative beyond measure.
Aside from having created the Sect, and being its ultimate leader, Reginald is also the one to maintain the balance of its sub-groups. By carefully controlling how much, and what, knowledge each group possesses, Reginald ensures that he stays in charge. And, additionally, it lets him manipulate each and every leader, and through them, every sub-group. Every leader, everyone in the Sect with any sort of real role, believes that the Sect is following their desires, that they accumulate power for their intentions. And if any of them ever discover otherwise... they will be swiftly dealt with.

The reason why Reginald has created the Sect, and jumps through such hoops to keep strict control, is because he wants to learn more about Auhir. No, not want. He needs to know more. He doesn't know much about them, but he has discovered the truth about their existence (which is, that they exist at all), and that they're linked with death, somehow. Not much information about them was preserved, just remnants of long-lost civilizations, but he is determined to know more. There is some sort of connection between Auhir and death, and he needs to know. Needs to control it. He can lose no one else. He must be able to preserve life, his own and his daughter’s, or even bring back those he lost.
