Hurhe are flowering plants native to the valleys of the southern Múlíat Mountains of southern Dragonía, particularly the region of Hrax and the northern coastal region of Dakrúzú Peninsula, and also grows wild near lakes in the Sjorg Desert to the west after being introduced there millennia ago.
It's among the oldest plants cultivated by the Znagrúks in Hrax and remains the most important crop within the Znagrúk Empire, as the large tubers are edible and can be cooked in various ways. The Hyrríans in the northern part of the empire grow hurhe as well, though they use all parts of the plant as food, including the yellow and light blue flowers.
Gobíls such as Kóhans, Krekkúxes and Óraxes have long cultivated hurhe as an ornamental plant rather than as food, as they are carnivores, and the tubers are sometimes used in traditional Krekkúx medicine.
