Gúat

Gúat is a tall, fast-growing, flowering plant commonly found around Ymn Lake, deep within the Southern Desert of southeastern Dragonía. It's one of the main crops grown by the Minotaurs inhabiting the region, primarily for the sweet sap pressed from the stalks and the crushed stalks are a common snack sold everywhere in their towns and cities.
Some of the stalks are also dried and used to make simple flutes known as gúatmnún, which are commonly heard during weddings, duels and funerals. The flowers are sometimes used to garnish or flavour food, particularly coconut milk pancakes, or as fodder for pet Umúns.
