Amber Coast
The Amber Coast1 is the common name for the coastline of northeastern Kanix Forest at the Cape of Hízel and surrounding region, stretching from the Ameder city-states of Mórhix to the west and Varþúl to the east. Other city-states found along this coast are Anlyn and Þúnaarþ.
The name refers to the enormous amounts of amber found in the sand there, and while not the richest deposit of the this material in Dragonía, it's by far the most accessible one. The local Ameders use the amber for various purposes, such as jewelry and to adorn clothing, weapons and arms, as well as ingredients for traditional medicine and potions to initiate mages2, and to burn as incense to honour deities and ancestral spirits.
