Óraxtap

Óraxtap:

Óraxtap is native tongue of the Óraxes inhabiting the southeastern part of the Sjorg Desert in southwestern Dragonía, and is one of two branches of Kóhic languages spoken in the region, the other being Krekólic. Once spoken throughout the desert after the Óraxes conquered most of the region and established the Órax Empire, the language is now limited to their territory along the coast of Súrkniss Sea as the various languages of the Krekkúxes have since supplanted it elsewhere.
Before their fall from power, óraxtap had diverged into numerous local dialects spoken by commoners for everyday life, while the aristocracy and Óraxes from different regions of the empire used a more formal way of speaking. Most of the former have since gone extinct, safe for certain coastal dialects, and the latter is now primarily used in religious context or among more conservative families.

Writing System

Óraxtap is recorded using an alphabet similar to the ones used by the southern Kóhan tribes, usually written on clay tablets via reed pen or styluses variously made of metal, bone or wood.
