Lavel Sucoret (LAH-vuhl SOO-cor-et)
Overview
Main character in Dosjoryan Tales. Lavel grew up on a farm in the small village of Resendou, and became an Innen of an unusual sort. Son to Raelat Sucoret and Muridan Livma Sucoret, older brother to Lasenia Sucoret, bonded to the Oundat Vasem.Appearance and Personality
Lavel is a tall man compared to other Dosjoryans. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. Often described as lean or thin, though he is generally fit and adequately strong. Normally as clean shaven as he can manage as he is not yet able to grow a full beard. Though he made friends within Resendou before bonding to Vasem, Lavel mostly kept to himself, especially as an Innen. Despite that, he showed kindness to those around him and rarely displayed anger to anyone he did not trust. Notably, he was fiercely protective to his family, friends, and Vasem, the few individuals he held near and dear. His youth made him naïve to some of the hardships of the world, resulting in the thirst for adventure and discovery often seen in young Innena.History
Lavel was born to Muridan and Raelat and grew up on a farm in poverty, learning how to take care of the land as well as various other skills typical of farmers to maintain their home and tools. At age ten an Oundat wandered into the Sucoret fields, met first by the young Lavel. To their surprise, Lavel and the Oundat began to feel a mental attachment to each other and they realized they were now an Innen. Soon after, the pair left Resendou in search of an older Innen to learn the basics of their new station, as well as to teach them the other's language. For the next seven years, they wandered Dosjorya as all young Innena do, exploring and learning various facts and skills so that they can pass the exam that grants a pair full Innen status. After being bonded for a few years, Lavel and Vasem are subject to an attack by the Zekor that leaves them both injured but alive. They continue to grow close and learn and it takes them three tries to pass the Innen exam, but finally they are successful and are promptly sent on their very first mission. It is here where the story of Dosjoryan Tales begins.
