Dosjorya

A Medieval style world settled around two thousand years ago by an exploration expedition of humans. Native sentient creatures, the Gendirlo, had already called the land their home since before the gods split the original landmass in two. Initially the two sides conflicted and forever more a sense of unease and distrust prevailed.   Some of the humans found they had a rare and magical ability to form a telepathic, reversible bond with a Gendirl, and each member of such a pair was called an Innen. The Innena formed the Order of Innena with the task of serving as ambassadors between the two sides and moderators in disputes. They also served to limit human growth and expansion in Dosjorya since they were considered invaders by the Gendirlo.   In the background, nearly unnoticed, the gods slumber but are not idle. Two fight against Six and over time their methods of attacking the other side change. In present times, they turn to mortal and physical attachments each god has and meddle with them. In that way several of them choose a human to grant godly powers and they set to war another wave of militant humans against the Dosjoryans.   It is in this state that a young man, Lavel Sucoret, and his bonded partner Vasem, set out into the world, not knowing that fate itself has it's eye not only on Dosjorya but on them.
