Forgehome
The saga of Forgehome’s founding has been lost to the ages, and the Dwarves have been slow to share their knowledge on the matter. What is known is that the Dwarves who dwell beneath the peaks and spires of Rannagar’s Spine are tenacious, proud, and fierce. They mine and smelt the ores which allow Drake’s Rest to enjoy relatively easy access to metal tools, weapons, and other items which enrich their lives.
Forgehome is not a welcoming place to outsiders. The Dwarves manage their business outside of the city for the most part. Many traders will boast of being allowed entry, but few will do so under a zone of truth.
The Dwarves here are an insular people, as would be expected from a society beset by constant horrors from the dark. The mines and forges are worked constantly to produce the items the Dwarves trade. In addition to the metal goods, Forgehome boasts a number of skilled Jewellers, Runesmiths, and other craftspeople who create manufactured wonders.
