It consisted of parades and demonstrations conducted by the city's main military organizations, as well as competitions and staged battles. 9/20: Torm Praise Day 9/21: It is the Autumnal (Autumn) Equinox. 9/21: Worshipers of Aerdrie Faenya have a festival called the Dance of the Swirling Winds with aerial ballets and offerings of beautiful feathers. 9/21: Priests of Lathander perform the Song of Dawn. 9/21: Worshipers of Mielikki celebrate the Third Feast and praise the Forest Lady with song. 9/21: Worshipers of Rillifane Rallathil observe the Transformation with dances in remote oak groves. 9/21: Worshipers of the Gnomish deity Segojan Earthcaller offer up gems and bury them in holes dug by badgers. 9/21: Tribal clans who worship Uthgar gather upon their burial mound or at Beorunna's Well for Runemeet to set policy, perform marriages and many other rituals. 9/21: Wideberth celebrate Brightswords, a series of displays and competitions of martial skill and open enlistment by the City Guard and City Watch, topped off by an aerial demonstration by the Griffon Cavalry. 9/22: Worshipers of Tyr perform the ritual of the Blinding at which an Illusion of a giant pair of eyes appears above the congregation and then sheds flaming tears until they drain away to nothing. 9/22: The Fast of Lights: This holiday is celebrated in the fall, during the harvest season. It is a time for people to give thanks for the abundance of food and to reflect on the past year. 9/28: The festival of Brightswords takes place, celebrated in Cormyr and Sembia. The festival included parades of soldiers and guards, demonstrations of martial prowess, Horse races, other competitions, and abundant sales of arms and Armor. 9/28: Highharvestide, an annual festival, taking place on Lowsun 28. It was traditionally a feast to celebrate the harvest and the abundance of food, but also the time when those wishing to travel left on their journeys before winter set in. Preparations for the feast started as early as a tenday before, while preparing, cooking, and preserving the harvest for the cold winter months. Traditions varied from community to community, but examples of festive activity included food-related contests; races and challenges of skill and strength; receiving homemade sweets from the local clergy; and priests blessing larders, wine cellars, grain bins, and food preserves. This day was often an important anniversary to various governments. Often, taxes and tithes came due, rulers held "open courts" to hear the concerns of their citizens, oaths were publicly renewed, troops received marching orders to new duty stations, and guilds met to confer on prices and rate changes for goods and services. According to tradition, dwarves only drank water and elves drank only dew on this day. However, these traditions began to fade at some point. It was said that children born on this day were favored by Tymora to have lifelong good luck but be smitten with wanderlust.
