The sixth month of the year. It is was known as Smundúlfyulí in the old tongue, and is often referred to as Highsunyulí by many. It is associated with the Caste of Commoner and starts with the rise of the The Tool  

Major Dates

  6/1: Trolltide, a Wide Berth feast day that commemorated the end of the Second Trollwar. It was celebrated mostly by children who ran through the city acting like trolls, banging on doors and growling, from highsun until dusk. Home and shop owners were expected to give the children treats such as candy, fruit, sweet rolls, sticks of salted meat, or small items "to keep the trolls away from my door". If the trolls were not appeased, it was likely that they would be the target of a prank at sundown, such as "troll scratchings" on doors or windows, raw eggs thrown at signs, windows, or those that were miserly to them earlier, and being serenaded by caterwauling during moondark. 6/1: Worshipers of the Halfling deity Cyrrollalee celebrate Hearthday. 6/1: Followers of Tyr perform the ritual of Seeing Justice, at which a giant warhammer appears above the congregation glowing white hot.   6/2: Day of Commoner Praise   6/6: Qawafil (Ajami) Day, a local holiday in Al'Quar. This day marked the beginning of the preparations for the High Holy Days. The entire city was cleaned for the upcoming festivals. Every Gate was adorned with decorations and booths to Aid pilgrims who traveled to the city from afar. It later became known as "Ajami Day" because even total strangers or barbarians were openly welcomed in the city. 6/6: Followers of Selvetarm celebrate the anniversary of the return of Zanassu from exile with ritual combat and fasting. 6/6: Zakharans celebrated Ajami Day on the 6th of Qawafil. This date marked the beginning of the massive preparations for the coming High Holy Days.   6/7: Coin Day: This holiday is celebrated in honor of the god of wealth. It is a time for people to give thanks for their material possessions, and to celebrate the joy of giving.   6/12: In 1306 DR, Princess Maerildarraine murdered her father King Askulder of Ormpur, usurped the throne, and burned the temple of Tiamat, triggering a holy war. This day is thereafter called Bloodsword in Ormpur.   6/13: Worshipers of Garl Glittergold celebrate the Communion of Laughter with various activities. 6/13: Worshipers of Tyr perform the ritual of the Maiming at which a giant gauntleted hand appears above the congregation and then disappears in an Illusion of flaming blood. 6/13: The Zhentarim celebrate Victory Day commemorating the end of the siege of Zhentil Keep in 1369 DR by forces loyal to Cyric, the Dark Sun.   6/14: Hornmoot: Hornmoot was the traditional trading festival between the dwarves and humans of various locations. It took place on the 14th of Highsun each year, with lesser hornmoots on the 14th of each month until Firemonth. In the Vast, this day is Hornmoot, the first day of spring trading between the dwarves and the townsfolk, marked by horn calls between the mountains and the towns below, signaling a willingness to trade. 6/14: Guildhall Day: Guildhall Day was a holiday celebrated in Wide Berth on Highsun 14. It was a celebration of the fruits of people's labor, characterized by trade fairs, announcements of new products, and recruitment into the Guilds of Waterdeep. 6/14: Worshipers of Gilgeam celebrate the Festival of the Assumption commemorating the coronation of Gilgeam upon the Untheric throne with numerous athletic events. 6/14: Wideberth, Neyer, and other Port Cities celebrate Guildhall Day, a day marked by trade fairs and announcements of new products and services sponsored by the Guilds of Waterdeep.   6/15: The Festival of Omens: It is a time for people to seek guidance from the gods and to look for signs of what the future holds.   6/18: Ilmater Appreciation Day   6/20: Dragondown, a holiday celebrated in Wide Berth on Highsun 20. It commemorated the defeat of the several dragons that threatened the city throughout its history.   6/20: Silvanus' Praise Day   6/21: Worshipers of Waukeen observe Brightbuckle, a High Festival including a parade in which everyone is invited to wear their finest, attend a feast, and hear inspirational speeches   Third Week: Newborn Celebration, holiday that celebrated lions and the rebirth of the deity Nobanion.   6/22: Worshipers of Tyr perform the ritual of the Blinding at which an Illusion of a giant pair of eyes appears above the congregation and then sheds flaming tears until they drain away to nothing.   6/22: The Sanctification of Gardens: This holiday is celebrated in the summer, when gardens are in full bloom. It is a time for gardeners to give thanks for their hard work and to celebrate the beauty of nature.   High Holy Days, a local holiday in Al'Quar. The five High Holy Days—Ahad, Atnen, Salas, Arba, and Yasad—occurred between the months of Qawafil and Safa. Large festivals honored the Enlightened gods and pilgrims swelled Golden Huzuz to bursting during this time. The entire month of Safa was used to recover from the festivals of the High Holy Days. Though it was a High Holy Day, Yasad was also Ascension Day—the date when the first Grand Caliph took the throne. Historically, it was the date that every Grand Caliph since then also assumed power. The Grand Caliph would address his people at the Golden Mosque and worship publicly on this day.
