Grognard (/ˈɡrɒɡ.nɑːrd/)
Grognard
Grognard is the "personality" of Captain Meklan as he got older and took over the parentage of Bastion Bladesinger. For most details on this person, see his Captain Meklan page. Yes it may get confusing or seem conflictory, but so was much of his life once he met Jeriah Chronos.
As you enter the room, you see a tall, elderly man with long brown hair and slightly reddish, pale skin. He wears a set of slightly tarnished silver scale armor and his brown eyes hold the wisdom of his adventures. His deep, gravely voice matches the seriousness in his expression.
Grognard is a man of few words. He speaks with a deep, gravely voice and often uses metaphors or stories to explain his point of view. He is a man of action and will take decisive steps to ensure the safety of those he cares about. He puts the well-being of others before his own and is loyal to a fault
I strive to protect all those who are in need, no matter the cost
I feel a deep bond with Barlo, the tabaxi who inspired my adventures, and with my adopted son Bastion
I often make decisions based on emotion rather than logic, and too often put my own safety in jeopardy in order to help others
