Meklan's Marauders

About -11,000 there was the First Rise of D'ierde. Over the course of the next 1,000 years the Dragon That Slumbers began to awake.   As the level of magic items had begun to grow expenantially and the many Arcane Forges were churning out items it began to convince the Dragon it was time to awake.   Then the 333 Gems of Tharizdun began to appear. It also caused some spontaneous appearances of individuals from other realms and universes.   They had find ways to travel across time and space to collect the resources necessary to defeat the dragon. This led to the Great Sacrifice. Gods were mostly locked out of this Material Plane now as it could awaken the dragon.   The members traveled and adventured, but they ended up further in the future due to the Feywild magics as they fought the Archfey of the Vale. He was also responsible for the situation as he had tried to funnel in dark energy, but instead the Feywild was connected due to the actions fo the Marauders. In the end, they had to leave the ship due to how the events unfolded and they never risked returning since it was safer having the Ziggurat of Tharizdun, below Skola Vale locked in a different dimension.   The Marauders were the driving force in stopping the dragon. They also were responsible for the Skola Vale being with the Feywild and creating the Elder of the Vale.   Captain Meklan named the Adventurer Class Airship "The Quiet Destiny" althought he never really believed in Destiny. Much of his life was trying to change "destiny" and then trying to find ways to fix what he broke, which led to new things to break.   At some point he vowed to step aside (for the most part) and just nudge others in the right direction using a system of checking in with the future from time to time to see how his nudges changed things.   They also helped the "Great King" establish his rule, in the hopes that he would unify the civilized cities, but after his death they went into hiding as they feared the assassins coming after them and they had already figured out they could do nothing about it.
