Session 1: Tuner Hunt
Rewards Granted
- 100xp for defeating the zombie (this has been added to the character sheets)
Missions/Quests Completed
- No objectives have yet been achieved.
The party has accepted the mission to hunt down and kill George Edward Darnell. He was a medical student that was discovered to be a Tuner . He was stripped of his rank and was arrested. He has escaped from Camp Hope and is running to Necropolis in an effort to avoid trial and being a test subject for The Doctors .
Day 1
The party set out after Darnell, heading north on route 20. They traveled 20 miles, making it to Duanesburg where they found a house that Fluffy signaled Darnell had been inside. There was no trace of Darnell any longer, suggesting that he had maintained his lead and was still heading to Necropolis.
Day 2
The party awoke early and headed out into the heavy rain. They encountered and killed a zombie that was clearly a member of the Pandemonium troop (ape-like). Both Fluffy and Handy Andy were injured during this encounter. They then traveled on, getting lost in the rain.
They made it into Sprakers. Fluffy lead them up to a house where we left off at the start of another encounter!

Created Content
We did a ton of work on smoothing out the integration of the world into VTT and the "to do" list is ever growing. The highlights:
- Will be revising the travel rules. Nothing major, but will post those rules once they have been updated.
- Will be adding the Dog Kennels as a building to Camp Hope
- Will be adding an Animal Training rule to the rule set
- Will be updating the weapons so that they automatically track the ammo

Welcome to Dawn of Others.
You live in a world that has fallen to ruin. Over 100 years ago, the Sonohoka Syndrome changed the world forever. Those infected with the virus have a high chance of dying. Those who survive the virus are changed forever. If they maintain their cognitive functions, they are thought of as The Others and if they lose their cognitive functions, they are thought of as Zombies . Either way, their bodies are mutated.
In the aftermath of humanity's collapse, as chaos and despair reigned, a new societal structure began to take shape amidst the ruins. Among the rebuilding efforts, a religious camp emerged, purporting to restore order through a narrow interpretation of Christian doctrine. This camp, however, was founded on exclusionary principles and bigotry, positioning itself as a beacon of salvation while imposing rigid and intolerant views on its inhabitants. As people sought refuge and purpose, they were drawn into a system that promised redemption but demanded conformity and vilified those who did not adhere to its narrow beliefs. While this camp provided a semblance of stability, it also perpetuated a cycle of division and intolerance, contrasting sharply with the ideals of compassion and unity that might have otherwise guided the reconstruction of society. In this environment, the rebuilding of the world was marred by the very prejudices that had once contributed to its downfall, revealing the complex interplay between faith, power, and human nature in the quest for renewal.
Rule Updates
As a play testing session, things went really well. But it did high light things that were not working ideally in both the vtt and in the rule set. The rules that I've updated based on feed back during this session will be posted in the comments as I complete the work.
Just completed the update for the travel rules. This ended up being a more involved rule update then I expected. There are changes in all sections of the rule set so I suggest giving it a full read through. The tables are example DCs that you could skip over, but are there to give a general sense of how I would rate various acitivties and circumstances. If there are other tools or equipment that you think should have an impact on this rule set, please let me know. I want to give you guys tangible benefits for planning and strategy. Are the tables difficult to read? I can't say I'm a fan of the standard format. Do you think they would benefit from a reformatting?
