Camp Hope Renown in Dawn of Others | World Anvil

Camp Hope Renown

The Factions There are several factions that exist with Camp Hope. They are as follows:
  • Church of Hope
  • Engineers
  • The Doctors
  • The Farmers Guild
  • The Scribes
  • The Solstice
  • Town Watch

  • Each of these factions has a relationship with the other factions in the camp which can be positive, negative or neutral. If they have a positive association, gaining renown with the faction will also increase your renown with the other one. If they have a negative renown with one of the factions, gaining renown with that faction with result in loosing renown with the other. A neutral relationship means that they have no impact on the earning of renown with each other. The faction relationships are as follows:

Church of Hope Engineers The Doctors The Farmers Guild The Scribes The Solstice Town Watch
Church of Hope X Neutral Positive Neutral Neutral Negative Neutral
Engineers Neutral X Neutral Neutral Neutral Neutral Neutral
The Doctors Positive Neutral X Neutral Positive Neutral Neutral
The Farmers Guild Neutral Neutral Neutral X Neutral Neutral Neutral
The Scribes Neutral Neutral Positive Neutral X Neutral Neutral
The Solstice Negative Neutral Neutral Neutral Neutral X Negative
Town Watch Neutral Neutral Neutral Neutral Neutral Negative X
Citizens of Camp Hope aren’t born into factions. An individual can choose to belong to any faction — or no faction. Some factionss actively recruit new members, while others simply accept those who seek membership. Even though citizens can choose their faction associations, long-standing traditions steer certain individuals toward a particular faction. People within a family might join different factions, which can lead to strong connections between the factions in question or to painful animosity in families whose members follow different paths.

    Renown Penalties

    Non Human Races

With the exception of The Solstice, the factions strongly favor Humans over the other races. Those that are not human, cannot hold any of the special ranks within a faction. Additionally, they will gain half the reputation as would normally be awarded. Those that are hiding their race and successfully pretending to be human can rise in ranks as a human would. However, if they are discovered they will loose 1 rank worth of renown with all of the factions they are associated with. If they have obtained a special position that would normally only be given to a human, they will loose that rank. They might even face a trial or legal action as well.

    Defiance

Gaining renown with any faction within Defiance will result in the loss of an equal amount of renown in all the factions in Camp Hope.
