Cult of the Ice Queen

The Cult of the Ice Queen are primarily focused on the long lost and notorious person known as the The Ice Queen Of Njärdvahl and are trying to enact a dark ritual to summon her spirit back. Why they would ever wish to do such a thing is unclear, perhaps they are deluded, ignorant of the chaos this tyrant caused or are just pure maniacs.   Currently their primary mission is to find the lost artefact known as the The Alden Stone which they believe is a crucial element needed in the ceremony.   This cult was set up fairly recently in the grand scheme of things, only 150 years ago as opposed to the queen having been dead since the 4th era. Perhaps this passing of time has diminished the accounts of how terrible she was. If the cult knew the true horror of her well deserved reputation of the time they would perhaps think again.... maybe.

The Ritual

The ceremony needed for the summoning of the Ice Queen is no simple task. This requires a skilled necromancer and a blood sacrifice. Firstly a circle is to be drawn on the floor and the insignia of the Ice Queen to be drawn inside this. Then candles are used at points around this circle and the Alden Stone placed in the centre. Then the sacrifice is to be placed in this circle while those taking part in the summoning are to form a ring around this all. Then while the person leading this ritual is reading the spell those around the circle are to chant a particular cadence over and over. Then as the rite is said the throat of the sacrifice is to be cut and they are to be left to bleed out over the summoning circle. As the blood touches the Alden stone the spell of summoning is due to be cast and the spirit is to be summoned back from whatever afterlife it currently resides in.
While these cultists keep their activities a very closely guarded secret, when they have their discrete meetings they are required to wear a special set of clothing. These entail a long hooded, red and black robe with the insignia of the Ice Queen stitched in pale blue on their left breast. They also have a signet ring bearing this same crest.
