White Onyx

White onyx is a simple white stone variation of regular onyx that was discovered in the early 700s EoL. At first, it was seen as a typical rock that would use in various landscaping projects, art design projects, and sometimes used as jewelry. This became the normal until the 800s EoL.   When stones started being ground up into a powder to use for art and the powder that hovered in the air ended up being inhaled by vampires and poisoning them, causing the infected vampire to undergo furnace affliction which results in death 99.9% of the time. Those who manage to survive being poisoned may leave any descendants they have later on in life with birth defects. Such defects are heart problems such as hypoplastic left heart syndrome, transposition of the great arteries, and tetralogy of Fallot, spina bifida, orofacial cleft, clubfoot, Down syndrome, hemophilia, congenital dislocated hip, and Tay-Sachs disease. Vampires with such disorders are usually hidden away to avoid appearing "weak" as a vampire with any complications is seen as hindrance and a burden instead of an actual person (not to say that all vampires believe this).

Distribution

When it was first discovered, many cartels would sell white onyx for a cheap price, but after the discovery of it being poisonous to vampires, the stone became outlawed in every vampiric nation. However, a few cartels will take the risk of importing white onyx to themselves and selling them at a high price to any non-vampire in a vampiric nation. If caught, the cartel owner and everyone working for them would face up to life imprisonment or the death penalty for their crimes. On a different note, white onyx is easily obtainable in all other countries that are not run by a vampiric government, and sold fairly cheap.
