Brewing Federation Tensions

Since the The Second Federation War ended a century ago, the Dawning Empire has not been quick to forget the atrocities that were perpetuated against the populace of Daënfel by Federation soldiers.
Federation diplomats re-entered the Daënfel political scene no more than four decades ago and trade has slowly regrown, reaching it's peak around 6 years ago. That was, until the events concerning the The Weavers & Spinners Union transpired, where the Union was found to have harboured Federation spies - intentionally or otherwise.
The people of Daënfel grow increasingly suspicious - from neighbour turning on neighbour to the most sinister of plots in the courts of nobles - and the Empire suffers.
Word has travelled that Federation soldiers were seen at Lightning Bluffs. Whether the reports are true or not is inconsequential; the Empire's hackles are raised and a third war with the Federation could be imminent.
