Gremlin
A Gremlin is an Insidious Technofiend, which is to say it fully resembles a human being but is capable of interfering with technology. The Gremlin has a field around itself undetectable to most scanners that causes technology to glitch or malfunction. They are capable of suppressing this field in order to blend in at human settlements, or weaponizing it to cause a specific device to critically malfunction. The more high-tech the equipment is, the more likely the field is to cause a glitch. This same field seems to cause humans to blame the technology for it's failures rather than immediately suspecting a demon. Gremlin's technofield is less effective the larger it becomes, generally losing all effectiveness beyond a few meters. The weak point of a Gremlin is the back of the head, hidden by hair. A side effect of Gremlin possession is that hair becomes extremely thick and resilient, and seems to hide the weak point extremely well.
Gremlins are experts at invading human spaces, and are often employed as spies by powerful, non-Insidious demons. Gremlins on a few occasions have been employed by NAFZ officials to deal with high-tech rebels or insurgents. While hiding in human spaces, Gremlins work to undermine success in small ways, such as causing a scanner to malfunction to let another Insidious in or causing a requisition form on a computer to assign resources away from where they are needed. Gremlins seem to take no specific pleasure in disrupting human life but feel compelled to do so. Any Gremlins that have been interrogated cite a greater fear of demonic retribution than of being potentially discovered and killed by humans.
Aside from the weak point, Gremlins seem to possess an allergy to things traditionally associated with good luck, such as four-leaf clovers or a rabbit's foot. One notable occasion cites a horseshoe used as a bludgeoning weapon that destroyed not only the human host, but also the Gremlin ghost. They are reluctant to pass through doorways with a horseshoe nailed over it, but ultimately can do so. Gremlin ghosts, however, cannot pass through openings warded by good luck charms, leading to horseshoes being common sights in NAFZ territory.
