Garvin Peak Castle

This mountain top castle is deep in the Spine a few miles from the Great North Road and is visible from the road. The castle is abandoned. According which story you want to believe, it is either haunted or in the possession of demonic entities. Whatever the case maybe, no one has survived a visit to the castle since calamity overtook its inhabitants some ten years ago. On the that night castle was filled with flashing lights and terrible howling noises. A few catatonic survivors fled the castle later telling wild stories of seeing their fellow inhabitants ripped apart by either invisible or terrifying creatures. When Lord Garvin’s Cousin, Baron Sayhew of Brice sent an experienced team of warriors, wizards and clerics to investigate, they never returned. Since then, the locals have avoided entering or going near the castle. The castle is a roughly triangular complex with a massive tower at each corner and a large, rectangular hall on its north side. Those viewing the castle from a distance have reported in looks intact, but have seen no signs of life. However, at night strange colored lights are seen in the windows and on the walls of the castle. Lord Sayhew now rules over the small town of Garvin’s Bridge that was center of his cousin’s domain, but has exhibited no further interest in the castle. He tells anyone who has inquired that as whatever is inside the castle is content to stay in, he is content to stay out.
