Zareb Road

The Zareb Road – This road is another route connecting the lands north and south of the Spine. Originating in Upper Lao the road climbs the southern reaches of the Spine until it reaches the Zareb Plateau. After passing through the city it turns northwest into the northern portion of the Spine. and descends into the Plains south of the Windy Sea. The road is made of packed earth and is well drained. Roughly every ten miles there is an inn or travelers’ shelter. The shelters are typically simple stone houses kept stocked with firewood with an attached stable. Bridges along the road are usually constructed of cut stone.
