Morgesk

Morgesk was a Silver Dragon who roamed the Dragonscale Mountains near Lysandus in the 57th century. He became an instrumental figure in the defeat of the Knights of Black Dragon.

History

Morgesk was born of his mother, Morgaka, and his father Jigesk, in the year of 5618. His parents were exiles after Lysandus' dragon crisis, being hunted down by mercenaries hoping to become dragonlords. They birthed him in the Dragonscale Mountains and reared him in a small community of Silver Dragons. Eventually, learning magic from his parents, he learned to disguise in the form of a dragonborn to survive.
He would often travel to the town of Ellex in his dragonborn form, experiencing human dining for his own subsistence. He grew to love Lysandan culture and was accepted in communities for his good heart. Sometime in 5656, he would encounter a disgraced Qenlynn Millerstone, going away from the mage college. Qenlynn befriended him, and would learn he was secretly a dragon. She demanded he teach her the draconic tongue and how to further use her powers. Morgesk obeyed in exchange for keeping his identity secret. However, Qenlynn would turn on him to join the Knights of Black Dragon. She insisted Morgesk to join. Angered by the Knights' devotion to Tiamat, Morgesk refused.
The Knights ratted out Morgesk. At first Morgesk tried to rally the town of Ellex against the Black Dragons, but they feared him more. Morgesk was forced to run from the city, returning to the Dragonscale Mountains, growing ever hungry. He saw Essex ransacked by the Knights. Resentment grew within him, feeling betrayed by the people of Lysandus. He turned his eyes away from Lysandus ever since. Morgesk would find another silver dragon, named Vigaak, to be his bride. She bore him children, and as such, Morgesk has turned his attention to the silver dragon tribe than the affairs of Lysandus.

Second Dragon Crisis

Evidently, a group of adventurers would seek out Morgesk in 5689, presenting him a necklace as a gift for his blessing. Morgesk realized these heroes were to be the next dragonlords, and instructed them to kill the two-headed chromatic dragon Turot, who invaded his mountain. The party did as he asked, killing the dragonness and then liberating Kirkwall. Morgesk then flew toward where Amagus Tower was, knowing of the upcoming battle that the adventurers, now calling themselves the Dragonblazers, would soon face.
Morgesk would join the army of Lysandus in the Battle of Amagus Tower, taking on the black dragon Rungel. Morgesk would slay Rungel, but he suffered a stray catapult shot (accidentally fired by Wulfric Dragonbane), and eventually succumbed to his injuries, dying during the battle. His children would take over the Dragonscale Mountains, and he would be remembered for his valor during the battle.

Morgesk saved the life of Hilda Snowladen when she was lost in the Dragonscale Mountains. Ever since then, she has been grateful of dragons, and has tried to kill any fey or monsters that disturbed the mountainside.
