The world is governed for the most part by a group of gods called the Divine Family. Powerful beings with no concrete form, the gods of the Divine Family are benevolent and worshiped as a collective by the vast majority of the populace. Although particular traditions or favored gods may vary from area to area, all agree on the Divine Family as the highest of the high. Mystery cults, which prioritize a personal relationship with one particular member of the Divine Family, abound throughout the world, often as secret forms of worship within larger dedications to the whole pantheon. Lesser gods also exist; various powerful spirits who may take many forms. Fey, fiendish, elemental, monstrous, or even of mortal origin, these beings are generally worshiped in secret by small groups of people.
