Niraila

(a.k.a. Mother Goddess, The Flame Eternal, Queen of the Sky)

Niraila is the goddess of the sun, light, and life. Along with her consort Kulo, she rules the Divine Family.   Niraila is often literally identified as the sun, and figuratively is often depicted as a tall woman with golden skin and flaming hair. She rules over every living thing, and is also the ruler of the sky.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Niraila is differentiated from the symbol of the Divine Family with a symbol consisting of a circle with lines radiating from it.   The number, quality, and position of the lines varies depending on the religious order or sect, but the most common depiction has four straight lines extending vertically and horizontally from the circle.

Niraila is the benevolent protector of life and light in the planes. She brings forth new life into the world (especially in her aspect as the Mother Goddess), and encourages its flourishing.
