The Seven Engineers

The Seven Engineers represent a league of brilliant minds whose inventions have significantly shaped the technological landscape of the world. Comprising a diverse group of individuals with varied expertise, this league has become synonymous with groundbreaking advancements and ingenious creations.

Members

Otto von Kassel

The First Engineer: A visionary professor at the Hashmallum Academy of Geo in Garilland, Otto recognized the potential in select students and formed the elite group, the Seven Engineers. His leadership and foresight were instrumental in the group's success, and was also the creator of vectors, liquid formulas that grant temporary or permanent powers. He was the founder of Kassel's Kures, a business that deals in vectors.

Maximillian Mandorf

The Second Engineer: Renowned for his strategic acumen and martial prowess, Mandorf is the head of Garriland's military and a driving force behind the technological progress within the nation. He had a particular skill in implimenting technologies into practises of war.

Eleanore Korne

The Third Engineer: A brilliant mind and co-founder of the Engineers, Eleanore's expertise lied in various fields, including mechanics, engineering, and particularly biological sciences, including the discovery of microbial lifeforms. Her research advanced the progress of medicine, vector development, and biological warfare.

Ruger Lareau

The Fourth Engineer: A mysterious figure with a keen interest in biological augmentations and sensory experiments, Ruger's unconventional methods have yielded groundbreaking insights into living machines and sensory enhancements.

Theobert Samson

The Fifth Engineer: A former professor and expert in physics, astronomy, and geology, Samson's research into magical properties and aerial technologies has revolutionized warfare.

Arador Ironbeard

The Sixth Engineer: Hailing from the Clockwork City of Goug, Ironbeard's mastery of machinist arts and craftsmanship has contributed significantly to the development of advanced prosthetics and robotics, and the use of arcane artillery.

Alarn Vaskar

The Seventh Engineer: A prodigious talent in robotics and automation, Vaskar's collaboration with Mandorf and Ironbeard led to the creation of formidable robotic warriors known as the Panzaknackers.

Formation and Goals

The Seven Engineers were brought together by Otto von Kassel's vision of fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of technology. Recognizing the exceptional talents of his students and colleagues, Otto orchestrated their collaboration, leading to the establishment of the league.   The primary goal of the Seven Engineers is to drive progress and enhance civilization through technological advancements. Their projects range from military innovations, such as airships, firearms, and war machines, to medical breakthroughs, prosthetic enhancements, and mechanized labor solutions.

Air Superiority

Theobert Samson's flying air balloons, initially intended for transport, were repurposed into formidable flying fortresses armed with magical crystals and devastating weaponry. These aerial platforms provided aerial bombardments and served as mobile command centers, disrupting enemy formations and fortifications.

Panzaknackers

The creation of the Panzaknackers, powerful robotic warriors, marked a significant shift towards mechanized warfare. These automated soldiers, designed by Vaskar, Ironbeard, and Mandorf, possessed immense strength, resilience, and firepower, turning the tide in ground battles and fortification assaults.

Advanced Firearms and Artillery

Mandorf's expertise in mechanics and firearms led to the development of advanced weaponry, including flintlock rifles, cannons, and artillery pieces. These weapons boasted increased accuracy, range, and lethality, bolstering the offensive capabilities of their forces. Soon after Ironbeard joined the league, the Dwarf artificer imbued runic magic into the firearms, giving them the ability to fire magical blasts of lightning and ice towards the enemy.

Biological Augmentations, Vectors, and Reconnaissance

Ruger Lareau's experiments with biological augments and sensory enhancements resulted in improved reconnaissance capabilities. Specialized units equipped with enhanced senses and stealth technologies gained a strategic advantage in gathering intelligence and conducting covert operations behind enemy lines. Eleanore Korne revolutionised medicine and biology, even introducing devastating biological warfare tactics. Mandorf, Korne, von Kassel, and Lareau all developed unique vectors, a form of power inducing drug.

Despite differing areas of expertise, the Engineers share a common ambition to shape a future where technology serves humanity's betterment. Their collaborative efforts continue to push the boundaries of innovation, leaving an indelible mark on history and inspiring generations of inventors and scholars to come.
