Maximillian Mandorf
Stentorian, Second Engineer (a.k.a. Ghost of Fury)
Maximillian Mandorf is the current Stentorian of Garriland, the Head of Technology for the Cosmic Garrilean League, a founding member of the Seven Engineers, and commonly regarded as the most fiercest warrior alive - matched only by T.G. Cid.
Nicknamed 'the Ghost of Fury, Maximillian Mandorf was one of the leading founders of Engineers whose technological revolution lead to the Great Proliferation. Otherwise known as the Second Engineer, Mandorf's research was primarily of military innovation - weapons, armored vehicles, war machines, augmentations, and cybernetics. Mandorf would be the one to head many successful grand projects such as the War Balloon, Air Fortress, and the Courageous Defender.
Not much of Mandorf's life before becoming an Engineer is publicly known. The general understanding is that he had a comfortable upbringing with moderate wealth. Hailing from a merchant father, while his mother played small roles in politics, they could not live as lavish as some of the other nobles, but it was enough for them to afford Mandorf the advanced education provided at the Hashmallum Academy. It was here that he would help found a revolutionary group known as the Engineers. The Engineers would go on to create world-changing technologies and take Garriland from being an already established power to a domineering and supreme presence.
These technologies would turn the tide in favor of Garriland during the Reclaimant Crusade some 40 years ago. It was thanks to Mandorf that the High Elves conquest was halted in an instant, and all battles after resulted in a complete massacre of the Elvish and Hillender armies.
After the death of Otto von Kassel (the First Engineer) and Martin Hauke (ex-Stentorian), Mandorf took both high power positions of Head Engineer and Stentorian within a matter of days, becoming arguably the most influential and powerful man in Garriland. Mandorf is consistently regarded as the most skilled swordsman in Carth - even more so than the legendary blademaster Striker Inzaghi. While he may not share the same magical power as T.G. Cid or Kamallo Tonerre, many say Mandorf is the most terrifying person to have as an enemy.
In current times, Mandorf came to the defence of Hillend against the Fovish Elves and the Sonduran Ascendancy. This truce seems solid, though some veteran citizens remember the unrelenting wrath brought down on their people from the Warships 40 years ago.
The nickname Ghost of Fury was given by survivors of Mandorf's wrath. Enemy soldiers tell tales of how hails of bullets and arrows would drop platoons dead in their tracks, yet Mandorf would rise and singlehandedly annihalate the entire troop. He would rise from the dead like a ghost, and unleash his fury.
