The Cosmic Garrillean League

The main form of ruling government in the country of Garriland consists of a council made up of industrial, military, and economical giants. These council members decide the law and various political movements via council majority vote, though they do have a degree of autonomy. New members are generally decided by current members, and are typically required to have power, either political, religious, technological etc. The populace have a chance to vote on the inclusion of a single member they nominate, known as 'Stimme des Volkes' or the Volkes by short. The league still have a royal lineage, though this is mostly per tradition, and the only power they hold is due to their substantial wealth. 
Current members include Maximillian Mandorf (Head engineer AND Stentorian), Elvira Korne (Head of Medicine), Davin Stricker (Stimme des Volkes), Leopold Linse (Head of Trade), and Raphaela Franke (Head of Religion). 
The nation holds high regard for technology and the advancement and supremacy of Garriland. Religion and the monarchy are also held on a pedestal, though some have suggested these traditions are only celebrated as to keep the population content.
