Eostre (Ey-Aws-Tra)
Eostre is the Third of the Primordial Gods. Unlike her brothers, who are constantly engaging in titanic struggles over the balance between chaos and order in the mortal realms, she does not take a particular interest in the fates of empires for their own sake. Eostra is the goddess of the Feywilds, which is actually a plane of the Immortal Realms. Eostra was the first to create the land known today as Calradia, which she populated with Flora and Fauna of all kinds, as a sort of testing ground. Hers is the power of the natural, as she feeds off of the cycle of life, both for the good and for the bad. She takes delight in creating new kinds of life, in encouraging mischief and living life to the fullest. However, she also loves the hunt, the primal fear and struggle for survival of all beings, as well as the confusing shock of learning that you were deceived. In this way she is also the goddess of Balance in all things. If things are going too nicely and pleasantly, then life is not taking it's proper course, as true joy is not known without the knowledge of pain or the wisdom gained by loss. However, if all is pain, suffering and death, then there is none of the true joy which makes life worth living.
She is thus viewed by some as evil, by some as good, and by some as truly Neutral. She frequently plays tricks on her brothers, never letting one or the other get too far ahead in their own machinations.
Her children are equally as nebulous as she is, frequently acting on their own interests and characters without her intervention.
The Battanians still worship Eostre and her children fervently, believing that one day Calradia will become as it once was again, a wild place where all are free from both Order and Chaos
