Maedhros
Lord of Trickery, and the Midnight Blade
Maedhros is a god of the tricksters, ambition, and of the midnight blade. He enjoys catching his enemies unawares, and revels in the look of suprise when someone realizes that reality is different than what they had imagined. He is by far the most loathed of all the Fey court, as he will convince you to unwittingly follow a path to your own destruction by your own misguided choice.
But do not think this an evil lord, he does not seek ultimate pain or anguish. Instead he strives to better people through his trickery. For every trick played is a lesson learned, and he represents that learning aspects of failure. Failure is the true test fo ambition, and he frequently uses his tricks on those people who are ambitious inately. Furthermore, he enjoys shaking up situations by touching a mortal with his spear in their sleep, imbuing them with a deep sense of ambition.
He plays these tricks on gods, Saints, and Mortals alike, and enjoys most sitting back and watching them struggle with their new realizations.
