Sivil Plain
The Sivil Plain is a great open expanse of prairie and it is home to many animals and plants. The weather here is frequently pleasant but it does have a rainy season. This huge expanse can be dangerous as barbarians, bandits and brigands may waylay isolated travelers with insufficient military protection.
Geography
The Sivil Plain is a great open expanse of prairie it is home to. It takes up a substantial portion of Marganation from the foot of the Central Mountain Range down to the Eastern Wall and almost to the shores of the Great Western Ocean. Farmers find the land fertile and there are a number of towns and villages located within its borders. On a cloudless day the view goes on for as far as the eye can see. There is a rainy season here where it rains daily with intermittent periods of sunshine. These storms are marked by lightning and thunder which can cause large prairie fires.
Fauna & Flora
The large animals such as; Buffalo, elk, and wild horses range in herds as large as a thousand. In addition, small families of deer can be found as well as rabbits, quail.
The grasses native to the Sivil grow from a height of about 3 and a half feet and as high as 7 feet in the areas not developed by farming. Grasses like rye, barley, oats and switchgrass grow wild here. You might also find copses of beach trees and an occasional oak.
Natural Resources
The plains of the Sivil are a suitable place for hunting as the larger animals provide nice hides for clothing or blankets and good tasting meat. While the smaller game make for good cooking for families and the pelts can be used as hats or even gloves for warmth.
