Physical Description
Alexis is healthy, though due to her pregnancy, giving birth, and her grief, she isn't as physically strong as she once was. Her natural elegance still shines through and her posture is still good. While she tires more easily these days, she used to hard work.
She has long, graceful limbs with calloused hands that are nimble and quick that aid her well in cooking at the tavern.
Alexis has a heart-shaped face with high cheekbones. Her pale amber eyes are her most striking feature, framed by dark lashes. Her lips are soft and full, often pressed into a faint, contemplative line.
A small, crescent-shaped birthmark on her left wrist.

Clothing style: Practical and modest dresses in muted earth tones. Often wears a shawl or apron for added warmth and utility.
Accessories: A corded leather band her late husband made her from scraps. She wears it at all times as a reminder of their life together and as a promise to keep their child safe.
Mental characteristics
Alexis grew up in Whitewell, who learned to cook from her mother, Grisolda. She married young, to a merchant named Elias. They lived modestly and well. She cooked at the tavern and remained strong when Elias was away on his merchant trips. Both were happy when she became pregnant.
Tragically, Alexis was widowed a short time later when Elias was killed by a bandit on his way home. She has continued to live in the house they shared. Between working at the tavern and her mother's help, she's managed to continue a decent living.
She gave birth to her child at the start of the apocalypse and then joined Josiah at Guardian Solace where she helps her mother do the cooking.
Alexis embraces the traditional feminine role in society.
Heterosexual. Alexis deeply loved her husband and currently shows no interest in seeking a new relationship, though she remains open to connections that might come naturally over time.
She has practical knowledge that come through living life and gaining experience.
She works as a cook at the tavern in Whitewell. She helped Elias with packaging his goods when he was in Whitewell.

Alexis's grief runs deep at the loss of Elias. Finding his body on the outskirts of Whitewell nearly sent her into early labor. Fortunately, her mother was able to calm her down and get her to relax, but the depression was hard for her to push through. Having her baby at the beginning of the apocalypse caused her fear and self-doubt to spike.
Alexis is a quick learner with the ability to adapt to new circumstances. She possesses an emotional intelligence which allows her to connect with and understand others. It's a skill that has been hard for her to use while she's grieving but has found it very useful while at Guardian Solace.
She believes in the importance of family, kindness and community, inspired by her faith in
Infinite Grace.

Alexis is soft-spoken but firm. She often tucks her hair behind her ear when speaking directly to someone.
She has a warm gentle tone and speaks carefully, choosing her words with thought.
Alexis was still able to live decently after Elias's death, espcially with her mother's help. After the apocalypse, she counted her wealth as the friends she has around her and having a roof over her and her child's heads.

Alexis is a strong woman, and this is saying much since she is in fine company with my own mother. To have gone through what she's gone through... I just don't know if I'd have the fortitude to keep going. She's been a wonder here at Guardian Solace, especially with the children and the old.
